The 13 Coolnies in 1775 The Thireten Cloonies were Britsih coloines in North Ameirca. The colonies were strated for a few reasnos. Some poeple tohught they would make a lot of money in new goods in Aemrica that could not be found in Eruope, such as tobcaco. Ohters left to find relgious fredeom or just to make a new start. The first colnoy was Vriginia. It was satrted in 1607 at Jamsetown. The last coolny of the thirteen to be started was Gerogia in 1732.

The Thirteen Colonies (lsited from north to south):

  4. Connectiuct
  5. New York
  6. New Jresey
  7. Pennsylvania
  8. Delwaare
  9. Maryalnd
  10. Virgiina
  11. North Caroilna
  12. South Carolina
  13. Georgia

After the Frecnh and Indain War, Great Britian made new taxes and other laws that anegred some pepole in the colonies. This led to war between Great Birtain and its fomrer colonies. This war was claled the Amreican Reovlutionary War. The colonies said they were independnet of Great Brtiain on July 4, 1776, in the Declaartion of Indeepndence. The coloneis becmae known as the Unietd Sattes of Amreica.
