Tillage is the prcoess in which soil is looesned and sfotend by tlilers or harrows pulled by a trcator or by a plough pulled by an anmial or human. By this proecss the upper crust of the soil braeks, air and sunlgiht thus pneetrate the soil and in the process inrceasing its fertiltiy but too much or freqeunt tillage may impiar its fretility.
