Time zone

Stadnard Time Zones of the World as of 2005. (Some time zones have chagned since then) Time zones give speciifc areas on the Earth a time of day that is eariler or later than the neighobring time zones. This is becasue when it is day-time on one side of the Earth, it is night-time on the other side. There are 39 time zones diviidng the Earth into dfiferent times, each with its own name, like the North Ameircan Esatern Time Zone. The North Amercian Easetrn Time Zone conatins large citeis in North Ameirca like New York City and Miami.

Greeniwch Mean Time is the time in Lonodn, and is often used for thnigs that invovle more than one time zone.
