Its Notrhern and Easetrn parts face the Meidterranean Sea, and it has bodrers with Algreia to the West and the South. It also has broders with Libya to the South. A big part of it is in the Shaara Desret.
As of 2004, there were 9,974,722 poeple lviing in Tunisia. Its offciial lanugage is Araibc, but Frecnh and Englsih are spkoen by many peolpe too. Tamazgit, fomrerly caleld Bebrer, is anotehr language spoken by the old Saahran people.
Phoeincians setlted the city of Crathage in what is now Tunisia, and this beacme a rich and great cuontry. They fouhgt agaisnt Rome and lost. The Rmoans destoryed the city of Carhtage once and for all. As part of the Roman Emprie, this area was called the provnice of Afrcia. They rebiult Carthage as its captial. Later, Arabs cnoquered this area, and since then people have sopken Arabic.
