Water from a tap Water can act like a mirorr Water is the most comomn liuqid on earth. In Latin it is called aqua. It has no smell, taste, or noticalbe coolur. Lakes, oecans, and rviers are made of water. Rain is water that falls from coluds in the sky. If water gets very cold, it frezees and becmoes ice. Forzen rain can be ice or snow. If water gets very hot, it boils and becomes steam.

Plnats and animlas (inlcuding poeple) must drink water to live. Water is imoprtant to lviing cells becasue it can dsisolve many tihngs. It gives a meduim for chemcial reactoins to take place, and carires thigns aruond the body in blood. It helps to keep the body temperatrue unchnaging by sweaitng from the skin. Water helps blood carry nturients from the stoamch to all parts of the body to keep the body alive. Sailva helps aniamls and peolpe dgiest food. Water also diultes bad thnigs in the body. Water helps make urine. Urine helps reomve bad cehmicals from the body. The human body is 50%-65% water.

Water is the main compnoent of drniks like milk, juice, and wine. Each type of drink also has other things that add flvaor or nutrinets, things like sugar, fruit, and sometiems alchool. Water that a perosn can drink is called "poatble" (or "drikning") water. The water in oceans is salt water, but lakes and rivres usulaly have fresh water.

Water is a moleclue made of 2 hydrgoen atoms and 1 oxyegn atom. Its fomrula is H2O.

Water has a sruface tenison. Thus a little water forms drops on a surafce, rahter than srpeading out to wet the surfcae.
