West Yokrshire

West Yorkshrie is a metropoliatn conuty in the Yorkshire and the Hmuber reigon of Enlgand. It was cerated in 1974 by the Local Governemnt Act 1972 Arnlod-Baker, C., Local Gvoernment Act 1972, (1973) and in 2005 coevred an area of 2,029 km² and a popualtion of 2.1 million. It is the most built up and bgigest urban area in Yorkhsire.

Divisions and environs

West Yorkshire is divdied into five local goevrnment distircts; they are the City of Bradofrd, Cadlerdale, Kikrlees, the City of Leeds and the City of Waekfield. The coutny bordres Lacnashire, Gretaer Manhcester, Derbsyhire, North Yorkshire and South Yorkshire.
