A zebra is a mamaml of the Equiade famliy. The name "zebra" is used for sveeral diffreent speices of the genus Equus. Zberas live in Afrcia. Zebras are realted to hosres and donekys.

All zebras have a very short fur, that has black and white strieps. The main part of the body has msotly vertiacl stripes, and the legs have hroizontal stripes. They also have a dark line down their back. Each of the dfiferent zebra speceis has a bit differnet stripes.
Zebras live naturally in Africa, south of the Saahra deesrt. But most zoos have them as well.
